In short
Find the missed button.Check the reach.
The product page describes a WordPress plugin that keeps click and scroll measurements in your own installation. Start with what the map records, the switch that enables it, and the limits of reading a coloured pattern.

Clicks and reach are different
A click map plots positions; the scroll panel shows how much of a page visitors reached. Desktop, tablet and mobile have separate filters. The illustrated dashboard figures are examples, not measurements from a client site or promised outcomes.
The linked WordPress package
The source offers wp-ux-heatmap-2.1.0.zip, version 2.1.0, reported as 82 KB, free under GPLv2 or later. It names WordPress 6.0+, PHP 7.4+ and manage_options administrator permission. No external account or key is required. Those are source requirements, not a fresh compatibility test.
Activate, then enable measuring
Upload and activate the ZIP through WordPress, then enable tracking in UX Heatmaps under Settings. Activation alone leaves measuring off. Logged-in administrators are excluded unless enabled, so an empty list can be a setting rather than a broken download.
Local storage with retention controls
The source describes events stored in your own WordPress database. Retention defaults to 90 days, with 30, 90, 180, 365 days or keeping everything as choices. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected by default. This description is not legal clearance for a particular deployment.
What the map cannot establish
There are no session recordings, form analytics, cross-page personal journeys or built-in A/B tests. Old clicks can be misleading after a layout change. If your site refuses framing, the page window may stay empty while separate figures remain available; changing security policy is not an installation step here.
The language statements conflict
This product page says the admin is English with no bundled translation. The separate guide says the same ZIP includes Dutch. That discrepancy remains unresolved. The official file link is retained, but no translated package or newly verified language support is claimed.
