Google Ads for heat pump installers Arnhem: turn the full grid into your best argument
Every installer in Arnhem knows the conversation: the customer wants all-electric, and then the question about the grid connection comes up. Most companies treat it as an objection and steer around it. That is a waste, because it is the one subject where you can demonstrably be more honest in this region than a national quote website. Whoever starts that conversation in the advert no longer has to win it at the table.
Three dates that determine what you can promise today
Above, the timeline of the grid; below, the Arnhem housing stock. The dates come from the announcements on grid capacity, the percentages from CBS Key Figures for Districts and Neighbourhoods, retrieved 25 August 2026. Together they explain why the conversation here turns more often to hybrid systems and installation space.
From objection to subject
Most installation companies treat the grid question as something you would rather not bring up. Understandable, because it sounds like a reason to do nothing. In practice it works the other way round: the customer who has heard about it and gets no answer puts off their decision. Whoever raises the subject themselves and explains what it does and does not mean for their home removes that doubt and wins the quote.
The facts are public and verifiable
Since 1 January 2026, a new prioritisation framework has applied to grid capacity. In February 2026, TenneT warned that the grid in Flevoland, Gelderland and Utrecht, among other provinces, is at its limit. And since 1 July 2026, small consumers, meaning ordinary households and small businesses, can also end up on a waiting list for a new or heavier grid connection. That last point is the date that makes the conversation concrete, because before that it mainly applied to large consumers.

Under it, grid operators stop reserving space separately for small consumers, so small and large applications in a congestion area end up on the same waiting list. Last checked on 25 August 2026: the date is still there and has since passed. What it means for a specific address is only stated by the local grid operator; we do not quote a waiting time here, because no one publishes that nationally.
What you do with that in an advert: a headline that asks the question rather than answers it, and a page that explains it case by case
Always refer the visitor to their own grid operator for the current situation, because it differs by postcode area and changes. What you do not do is sell fear. Whoever claims it is now or never gets checked by the customer within a day and loses the trust they had just built up.
Why honest advice wins more jobs here
Arnhem's housing stock makes the advice more nuanced, more often, than installers admit in their adverts. Of the 81,530 homes, almost half are flats and only three percent are detached. That means: limited space for an outdoor unit, more often a residents' association with a say, and more often a home where insulation is the first bottleneck rather than the appliance.
For homes like these, a hybrid setup is regularly the honest advice, and that setup also qualifies for subsidy in 2026; RVO applies a minimum of 500 euros for a heat pump or hybrid setup and calculates a starting amount of 1,025 euros for the first air-to-water heat pump, plus 225 euros per kilowatt plus a 200 euro label bonus. For a well-insulated home with sufficient connection capacity, all-electric remains the better choice. The point is not which system wins, the point is that you show you make the trade-off.
Two landing pages
One for all-electric, one for hybrid, both with the same honest trade-off at the top and a link to the other. The visitor gets to choose where they belong. An ad group for the undecided
Searches where the customer already types their own doubt, about the connection, about capacity, about whether it's even possible. Those are the cheapest clicks with the highest willingness to have a conversation.Measure the conversation, not the click
In this trade, a request for an advice call is worth more than a quote request without context. How to record that properly is in our explanation of conversion measurement NL.Service area: Arnhem and the surrounding region
From Arnhem, a logical service area covers Velp, Oosterbeek, Duiven, Westervoort, Elst and Zevenaar. That is the radius within which a technician can still return the same day for a breakdown, and in this trade that is the measure that counts.

Frequently asked questions about advertising as an installer in Arnhem
Can I say in my advert that the power grid is full?
Say what is factually the case and no more than that. TenneT warned in February 2026 that the grid in Gelderland, among other provinces, has reached its limit, and since 1 July 2026 small consumers can also end up on a waiting list for a new or heavier grid connection. That is enough. Selling fear backfires in this trade, because the customer checks it themselves with their grid operator.
Is hybrid always the answer in Arnhem, then?
No, and that is exactly the point. For a well-insulated home with sufficient connection capacity, all-electric remains the better choice. The gain lies in the conversation: whoever shows in the advert that they know both routes and advise case by case attracts the visitor who does not know yet. Whoever only promotes the most expensive system loses that visitor to the next quote.
Why does system choice work differently in Arnhem than in, say, Apeldoorn?
Because of the housing stock. Arnhem has 81,530 homes according to CBS, of which 49 percent are flats and only 3 percent are detached. In Apeldoorn, 17 percent are detached. Space for an outdoor unit, a ground loop or a large indoor unit is therefore far more often a constraint in Arnhem, and that constraint belongs in your advert copy and on your landing page.
Is the Arnhem region available for installers?
Yes. We work with one installation company per region at a time, and in this trade no region has been claimed yet. The whole of Gelderland is new ground for us, so there is no existing client of ours in the same auction here.

Shall we claim Arnhem for you?
A first conversation is free and without obligation. We look at your visibility, at your system range, and at which part of the undecided searchers you are currently missing out on.
